The process involves mechanically grinding, honing, and polishing the concrete slab through progressively finer diamond tooling — then densifying and sealing the surface to achieve the specified sheen level and long-term hardness. The result is a non-porous, slip-resistant, and highly reflective surface that eliminates the need for coatings, waxes, or strip-and-refinish cycles.

Slab Assessment

Concrete quality, flatness, existing coatings, and previous repairs all affect the polishing process and final finish. We assess the slab condition and set realistic finish expectations before committing to a specification.

Progressive Diamond System

Polished concrete is a multi-stage process — not a single pass. We work through a systematic sequence of diamond tooling grits, moving from aggressive cut to refined polish, to achieve the specified aggregate exposure level and sheen.

Densification & Sealing

Chemical densifiers are applied mid-process to harden and seal the concrete surface at the molecular level — increasing surface hardness, reducing porosity, and extending the service life of the finished floor.

FINISH SPECIFICATION

From Matte to Mirror.

Polished concrete is specified by aggregate exposure level (how much of the stone aggregate is revealed) and sheen level (how reflective the final surface is). We install across the full specification range.
  • Cream Polish (no aggregate exposure, smooth surface)
  • Salt & Pepper (minimal aggregate exposure, fine texture)
  • Medium Aggregate Exposure (approx. 1–2mm stone visible)
  • Full Aggregate Exposure (maximum stone visibility)

Slab Assessment

Concrete condition, flatness, existing coatings, and finish specification review before tooling selection.

Grinding & Leveling

Coarse diamond tooling removes surface irregularities, coatings, and opens the concrete pores.

Progressive grit sequence refines the surface; densifier is applied and absorbed to harden the floor.

Polishing & Sealing

Final polishing to specified sheen level, followed by guard/sealer application for long-term performance.
