Luxury vinyl plank (LVP), luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and modern resilient flooring systems have become one of the most specified flooring categories in commercial construction — and for good reason. They deliver the visual appeal of hardwood, stone, and tile with the durability, moisture resistance, and cost-effectiveness that commercial environments require.

But performance flooring is only as good as its installation. A floating LVP system installed over an unlevel substrate will move, buckle, and gap. A glue-down system installed without proper adhesive coverage will peel and fail. Acclimation, substrate flatness, adhesive selection, and expansion gap management all determine whether a performance flooring system lives up to its specification.

Substrate Flatness

LVP and LVT amplify subfloor imperfections. We grind high spots and fill low spots to achieve the flatness tolerance required by the product — typically 3/16″ over 10 feet — before installation begins.

System-Matched Installation

Glue-down, floating, and loose-lay systems each have distinct installation requirements. We select and execute the correct method for the product specification, substrate type, and traffic demands of the environment.

Expansion & Perimeter Management

Performance flooring moves with temperature and humidity. Expansion gaps, perimeter conditions, and transition details are managed correctly to prevent buckling, gapping, and edge lifting in high-traffic areas.
